About

Through dedication, patience and creativity each child has the innate ability to reach their full musical potential which is something I can support. I will train your child to their highest level with a certainty that they will have a joy for music and their own learning. As a teacher, every child is unique and I will look at your child and suggest a personalised musical programme. The core of my teaching is repertoire choices, performance opportunities and musical activities that can engage children and to develop confident musicians.

I have been devoted to the Kodály musicianship and Colourstrings method. I am a senior teacher at the North London Conservatoire (formerly known as the North London Colourstrings Centre) which specialises in Colourstrings. I have taught Kodály musicianship at Junior Guildhall. I am also involved in other organisations such as Pro Corda, the Jersey International Masterclasses and some groups alongside Viktoria Grigoreva to bring music to as many young people as possible. Most recently I was invited to be part of a panel on Viva Violin 2024 Competition in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Many of my students have won music scholarships for secondary schools, participated in masterclasses, held principal positions in the London Schools Symphony Orchestra (LSSO), participated in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and who have been selected to study at the Junior Conservatoires in London.

I studied at Trinity College of Music receiving a Bachelor Honors music degree and gaining a Masters of Music at Christ Church. I have been fortunate to study with fantastic pedagogues including Goran Gribajcevic, Gordan Nikolitch, Joanna Mądroszkiewicz and Diana Cummings. I have experience of performing all around the UK, Europe and Asia as a chamber musician or as part of an orchestra taking part in festivals, masterclasses and recording sessions.

TESTIMONIALS

“Gosia was our son’s first teacher and for the last 10 years has guided him – with enormous patience, skill and good humour – from playing nursery rhymes on a tiny 1/8th violin through to a gangly 15 year old performing Paganini and Schumann.

Gosia has been remarkably able to deal with all of the above and she has been endlessly encouraging and supportive and has fostered his love for the violin and music.  That he is now a talented musician with ambition to go further is entirely down to Gosia’s efforts.

His next steps will naturally take him to different schools and other teachers and, as excited as he is for the opportunities ahead, it is bittersweet for him to the extent it means leaving behind the his weekly lessons with Gosia, which he (and we) have cherished.”

Gosia has been teaching our daughter the violin for a number of years. She has a wonderful teaching manner, warm, gentle but firm, which is very effective with younger children especially. Gosia is clearly in love with her instrument and is a consummate professional, but it is her innate musicality that has brought about the biggest progress in our daughter's musical education. The violin lessons have continued to develop her musical ear and benefitted her much beyond learning the instrument itself. We are very grateful for Gosia's tremendous input into our child's development as a musician and as a person, and could not recommend her highly enough as a violin teacher and a musician
